The West African Assessment Council (WAEC) has warned the West African Senior High School Diploma Examination (WASSCE) candidates to take account of rogue websites that offer misleading updates on the outcome of the study.

WAEC ‘s management also meets on allegations that WASSCE Results for 2020 have been published.
According to Citi News outlets, the meeting is to find rogue websites that are parading as authentic platforms to verify or update the WASSCE data.

Social media posts suggested that the review body released the 2020 WASSCE findings for the first batch of the free Senior High School curriculum.

In a press release from WAEC signed by its Head of Communications, Agnes Teye Cudjoe warned parents, offices and guardians not to sponsor any website promoting the printing of data.

“The Council advises candidates to be careful of blogs advertising the publication of results and of people offering to update the results for a fee. These are actions of fraudsters and all stakeholders are warned accordingly. In addition , the Council encourages all organizations to ensure that the findings reported to them are still authentic.
WAEC added that “Co-ordination and Grading Exercises have been concluded and the analysis of findings and other post-examination tasks are underway.”
