The results of the 2021 BECE for private applicants have been released by WAEC

The results of the 2021 Basic Certificate Examination (BECE) for private applicants who sat for the examinations earlier this year have been announced by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

The results can be seen on the WAEC website.

Mrs. Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, adding, “The Council has released the results online and candidates may check their results via the Council’s website at www.waecgh.org.”

The test is used for both certification and admission to Ghana’s Senior High Schools and Technical Institutes.

Candidates who have previously taken BECE but did not get the requisite grade(s) as well as first-time candidates make up this group.

Every year in February, the test is held in Ghana’s regional capitals.

A total of 1,067 applicants, 584 men and 483 females, took the 2021 exam, which was administered at 11 locations around the country.

According to WAEC, 929 applicants sat for the test out of a total of 929 who enrolled, with 138 candidates missing.
