Bishop Stephen Kwesi Appiah of the New Life Kingdom Chapel, commonly known as Jesus Ahuofe, who purportedly foretold the death of Charles Nii Armah Mensah (Shatta Wale), has been granted GHc100,000 bail.
The pastor had been detained for four days after pleading not guilty to a charge of inciting fear and alarm last Thursday.
While pleading for bail, his solicitor, Martin Kpebu, stated that his client was ill.
He is required to present three sureties who are gainfully employed as part of his bail terms and to report to police on Mondays and Thursdays.
The case has been rescheduled until October 29.
He pleaded not guilty to the allegation of inducing fear and terror before the Circuit Court presided over by Her Honour Mrs. Ellen Offei Aryeh last Thursday.
On Thursday, October 21, the case will be heard in court.
The prosecution, led by Chief Inspector Dennis Terkpetey, did not object to bail being granted.
