Ghana defeated Zimbabwe 3-1 in a World Cup qualifier

Milovan Rajevac began his second term as Ghana coach with a 3-1 FIFA World Cup qualifying victory over Zimbabwe on Saturday. Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey, and Andre Ayew all scored.

The 67-year-old took over from Charles Akonnor in September and oversaw by far the team’s finest performance in 2021, which culminated in a merited win in front of approximately 4,000 fans at the Cape Coast Stadium.

For just the second time this season, the squad played with zeal and fire, especially in the first half, to score more than two goals. The first came against Sao Tome & Principe, which was rated 191st.
