The Ghana Education Service (GES) announced that on Sunday, February 28, the 2020 Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) will be released.
In a statement released by the Service on Friday, a total of 494,530 candidates out of 533,693 eligible to enter the Senior High Schools (SHS) and the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Schools were listed (TVETS).
“A total of 343,264 have automatically been placed in one of their choices. “
However, 151,266 qualified candidates could not be matched with any of their choices.”
Students in that group have been asked to select a school from a list of choices for self-placement.
Students can get a placement PIN from an authorized provider and then go to www.cssps.gov.gh and apply their index numbers plus ’20’.
People not immediately paired with schools of their choosing can still go for self-placement into any school as many times as they want before they enroll in a school.
“Management of Ghana Education Service wishes to assure all students, particularly, those who could not be matched with their choices during the automatic placement, parents and the general public that all schools with vacancies have been uploaded on the portal for students to choose from during self-placement without hitches.”
The National Solutions Center will not be developed due to the raging Covid-19 pandemic, according to GES.
“Instead, the GES Contact Center will take questions and concerns.”
