Deaths from Ghana’s COVID-19 increase to 5188

According to the latest report from the Ghana Health Service, Ghana has reported more than 518 deaths from COVID-19.

The country also reported 771 new cases of COVID-19, taking the number of active cases in the country to 7,754.

With the greatest number of open cases accounting for 4,027, the Greater Accra Region follows.

With 1,452 active cases, the Ashanti Region has the second-highest number, followed by the Western Region with 549 cases.

There are also 307, 295, and 284 active cases in the Central, Volta, and Eastern regions, respectively.

The lack of attention to the safety protocols of COVID-19 was primarily blamed for the upsurge in cases of COVID-19 in Ghana.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has recently ordered the Police Inspector General to ensure that Ghanaians comply with the Order on the wearing of nose masks in an attempt to curb the further transmission of the virus.

He has re-introduced social and other meeting limitations.

Cases of the virus have been reported in all 16 regions of Ghana so far.
