The government’s 2022 Budget Statement and Economic Policy, read in the House by Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta last week, was rejected by Parliament.
The Majority’s exit from Parliament on Friday, November 26, 2021, had no effect on the House’s ability to conduct business.
After a dispute over a voice vote that did not go in their favor, members of the majority side staged a walkout.
“Clearly, the No’s have it. The motion is accordingly lost”, the Speaker ruled.
